Understanding your new Therapy Focus invoice
The look of your invoices has changed and you may notice that things appear a little different than before.
To help make the transition easier, we wanted to walk you through what’s changed, why we’ve made these updates, and what each section of your invoice means.
We know the new format has caused some confusion, so this guide is designed to help you feel confident reading your invoice going forward.

Each line item now includes more detail
Every line on your invoice shows:
- The date of service, shown as YYYYMMDD format (for example, 2026-07-14 means 14 July 2026)
- The Everyday Independence Service delivery reference number
- The customer’s name and NDIS number
- The NDIS line item code for the service
- The therapist’s discipline (for example, occupational therapy or speech pathology)
- The name of the therapist who delivered the service
A service code which is for the type of service delivered:
- TRAN – Transport/travel
- THLT – Telehealth
- NF2F – Non-face to face support
- CANC – Short notice cancellation
- REPW – Report writing
For face-to-face services, at this point most invoices won’t include a short description.
Any notes and preparation completed as part of the session are included. On average, this is around 20 minutes.
Time is shown in decimal hours, not minutes.
This can look unfamiliar at first. As a guide:
- 25 hours = 15 minutes
- 33 hours = 20 minutes
- 5 hours = 30 minutes
- 75 hours = 45 minutes
Where travel is involved, you’ll see four separate line items.
These cover the trip to the appointment and the trip back, each split into a time charge and a kilometre charge. A reminder that travel time is charged at half your therapist’s billable rate, plus a per-kilometre rate for the distance travelled of $1.25.
Why has this changed?
As Therapy Focus and Everyday Independence joined forces, we integrated some of our systems behind the scenes.
We remain committed to finding better ways of working, so we can keep delivering the best possible outcomes for you and your family.
